You like pics!

Wow. I have a stat counter on the blog, and it's funny to watch. Every time I post pictures the count spikes. Janet Prince runs this blog's marketing department, and she does a hell of a job. I'm not sure the checker at Wal-Mart needs to see the pictures of her adorable grandson, but I give the woman credit for trying. You are right, dear, he is the most beautiful baby ever.

So, I need to apologize that this posting has no pictures. I haven't taken any this week, but I did take a tiny bit of video last week, and I'll try to play with posting that soon.

I really just wanted to let the world know we're doing alright. I am super excited right now despite our recent days of wet, icky rain that feel more like January than May. Why am I excited, you ask? Well, a few things:
  • In two weeks I should get to take the walking boot off. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the break will be completely healed once we hit the six-week mark.
  • I celebrate my first Mother's Day this weekend, which should be fun. Seth and Jasper got me a fabulous gift that I'll post a pic of when I get my hands on it!
  • In a little over a week we're going to a farm-warming party my cousin Nathan is hosting. It should be lots of fun, and any social event is cause for celebration when you've been stuck at home as long as I have. And this couple is a hell of a farmer, foodie, wine enthusiast combination, so it will be tasty as well!
  • On May 23 my parents come to town for a visit, and then on May 31 Jasper and I fly home with them to see the rest of the family and attend my cousin Kellie's wedding.
So, that's what's got me pumped. I'm hoping we can all stay healthy for the time being and enjoy all of these fun things!

And Janet, the Jasper update is as follows: The boy LOVES sitting up in his crib. We are having a grand time chatting back and forth with "ba, ba, ba" and "da, da, da." He's about to outgrown nearly all of his pants, but I keep squeezing him into them, hoping to hang on until summer! I can't seem to give him enough solid foods. He's now tried mango, carrots and pear. He seems to like it all. His dislikes seem to be more about texture than flavor. He has his two front bottom teeth now, so I'm expecting the top ones to start coming in soon!
